1. Tell us about yourself!

My name is Aster, I’m seventeen turning eighteen on the twenty sixth of this month. I’m a senior at Early College Academy with plans to join the Navy for Nuclear Engineering after I graduate!

2. What is your favorite hobby?

My favorite hobby is writing, i write short stories and poetry, and i occasionally try to write songs but they’re not my forte

3. What got you interested in music?

I got interested in music when I was around five because my teachers encouraged me to join choir in school!

4. What has been the biggest thing you've discovered since starting music lessons with us?

The biggest thing I’ve learned with the Music Academy is definitely just to go with the flow. You can’t force things to go your way in life and in music, sometimes you just gotta go with what feels right instead of you think should feel right!

5. What is one of your life goals?

One of my life goals is to have the time, opportunity, and stability to continue to pursue the hobbies I love including music!

6. What would you tell a friend about the Music Academy of Acadiana?

The teachers at the Music Academy are some of the coolest and nicest people i’ve ever met, They’re always willing to help you achieve your goals in music and adjusting class to help you learn best!
