STUDENT OF THE MONTH

I am 10 years old and going to Myrtle place elementary which is a French immersion school. I am in 5th grade and I am 1st chair in band. I like playing baseball and I love onions.

What is your favorite hobby?

My favorite hobby is probably playing my trumpet. I also love Baseball.

What got you interested in music?

I have listened to a lot of music and have always been interested in brass. I am also interested in learning how music works, Like formatas and keys and key signatures.

What has been the biggest thing you've discovered since starting music lessons with us?

You can't just hop from a low note to a high note!

What is one of your life goals?

To be able to memorize and play a hard song that is also long.

Anything else you would like to mention?

I'm surprised I won the award because I've only been doing the trumpet for 2 months.

What would you tell a friend about the Music Academy of Acadiana?

That you can do solo lessons and it can help you advance really far in a short period of time.
